Chief Judge of Kwara State, Hon. Justice S. D. Kawu has ordered for the immediate suspension of all the activities in the State Judiciary, except for extremely urgent matters. 

Justice D. S. Kawu gave the order following the directive from the Governor of Kwara, Mall. Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq, that Civil Servants from Kwara State should work from home starting  from today the 23rd of March, 2020.

According to the statement signed by the Chief Registrar of Kwara State, Mrs. S. B. Olanipekun, the order is for the overall interest of the Kwara State Judiciary and the Public at large.

“The suspension of court activities will be in place until further notice.

“The staff of the Judiciary and the General Public are hereby encouraged to comply with the directives given by the World Health Organisation (WHO) and other relevant agencies on the coronavirus pandemic,” the notice read.
