Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has sent nine commissioners nominees to the Rivers State House of Assembly.

The development came more than two months after he swore-in 13 Commissioners, which included a journalist and serving Permanent Secretary, Pastor Paulinus Nsirim.
The Commissioner-nominees include, Barrister Eloka Taise-Amadi, Hon. Boma Iyaye, Hon. Diamete Herbert-Miller, Tonye Oniyinde, Dr Tamunosisi Gogo-Jaja, Dr Igbiks Tamuno, Hon Emeka Onowu, Prof Chike Princewill and Mr Ohia Prince.
Apart from Tamuno and Ohia, the rest of the nominees served as Commissioners during the first term of the governor.
A statement signed by the Clerk of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Mr. Stanford Oba, stated that the nominees are expected to appear before the House for screening and confirmation tomorrow, Tuesday, March 3, 2020.
The statement enjoined the nominees to submit 40 copies of their credentials including tax clearance certificates to the Office of the Clerk, Room 031, House of Assembly Complex Port Harcourt, as well as come along with the original.
