Read the full message below:

The death of this erudite judicial officer and judicial colossus came to me this morning with a rude shock. Just on Friday last week, I used him as an example of an excellent judicial officer of credit and repute.

Hon Justice Ibrahim M Bako was not only incorruptible but he was bold and fearless as a judicial officer.

His kind is very rare to find. I say this because I have had the privilege of appearing before his lordship in the High Court of Katsina State, since 2017 before his untimely and unfortunate death today.

He was not a judicial officer given to frivolity. Ask both the defense and prosecuting counsel that had appear before him. He was calm, bold, patient and calculative. Testimonies abound from the highest of quarters of his incorruptibility.

He was rarely found in social gatherings. He was reserved and was not into ostentation and flamboyant lifestyle. He was a judicial officer of unparalleled equality.

I can say of Ibrahim M.Bako J as he then was, that he was truly and indeed a judicial officer of impeccable character and repute.

My lord, sleep well with your maker. You dispensed justice without fear or favour. You were an embodiment of a true judicial officer.

Good night Hon Mr Justice Ibrahim M.Bako.
