Members of the 2007 Faculty of Law of the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State have expressed concern that the syllabus for Law being taught in the school saying that it may not be adequate for the demands of contemporary law practice.

The alumni, which disclosed this at its reunion dinner tagged ‘Reconvene 2019’, said students must be exposed to the challenges in contemporary law practice through the curriculum.

They, therefore, set up a committee to reach out to the Faculty by organizing seminars, trainings, and symposium “that will expose students to what is required of them as future lawyers in an ever-changing modern legal practice.”

A member of the committee, Bimbo Atitebi, said the work of the committee was to seek resources for the first seminar, which is expected to hold in the first quarter of 2020.

“The aim of this seminars is to prepare them for life of post-university/law school and put them in good stead for the labour or entrepreneurial market. Speakers will share their respective experiences and provide relevant advice that will help the students in their careers,” she said.
