A five-man committee of the Mid-West Bar Forum has finally been constituted.

In a notice signed by the Publicity Secretary of the Forum, Mrs. Rita Okunbo, it was stated among others that the committee is to look into and make recommendations on the prosecution of criminal cases before the Magistrate Courts by the Police or Non-Legal practitioners.

NOTICE OF SETTING UP OF 5 MAN COMMITTEE OF THE MID-WEST BAR FORUM.

Take Notice that the Chairman and Members of the Mid-West Bar Forum Executive Committee have today, the 31st day of December 2019, set up a 5 man committee to look into and make recommendations to the Forum on the following urgent matters:

1. Prosecution of criminal cases before the Magistrate Courts by the Police or Non-Legal Practitioners.

2. The recent Legislation on Pension for Governors, Acting Governors, and Deputy Governors.

3. Police Officers in the Nigeria Police Force called to Bar as Barristers and Solicitors of the Supreme Court remaining Corporals and Seargent’s without promotion to the appropriate Rank.

The Members of the 5 man Committee which is expected to produce its report embodying its recommendations to the Forum within 2 Weeks from today are as follows:

1. Chief V. O. Otomiewo.. Chairman.

2. Kunle Edun, Esq., Secretary.

3. Odaman Ehimen Stanley, Esq. Member.

4. Princess Mrs. Patricia Isoa Iyomon. Member
