Sulaiman Balarabe, the Commissioner of Police, Enugu State, has been removed.
The Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu ordered his removal with immediate effect.
Adamu has been replaced with Ahmad Abdulrahman, the Commissioner of Police, in charge of Force Criminal Intelligence, Force Headquarters Enugu.
The removal of Balarabe may not be unconnected with the worsening security situation in Enugu State, where several cases of murder and kidnapping have been recorded in the past two months.
