The International Charitable Initiative for Girl Child and Woman Development Foundation (ICI-GWODEF) has registered her intention to confer the First Lady of Lagos State, Dr. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, with the award of Ambassador of the Girl child.

This was made known at the NGO’s courtesy visit to Her Excellency. According to the information disclosed, the visit is to solidify a relationship which bothers on the Girl Child, her life and her security.
The team was led by Barr Mrs. Helen Nchedo Ibeji, the President/CEO of the Organization.
Speaking with the wife of the Executive Governor, the NGO leadership emhasized that this year’s International Day of the Girl Child is an Award giving day whereby very important people who have contributed immensely to the building of this Nation, especially in the life of Girl Child and Woman, will be appreciated.
Responding to the message of the NGO, Her Excellency thanked the NGO and promised to collaborate with them so far the problem of the Girl Child and Woman is concerned.
Other members of the team who met with the first lady are Barr. Mrs. Ify Uzokwe, Pastor Mrs. Peace Emeka Idih, Mrs. Atu, Owobi Maria, and Mrs. Francisca Chioma Generius.
