At the swearing-in ceremony, Justice Marshal Umukoro charged the appointees to display the highest standard of probity, integrity, honesty, hard work and the fear of God. He cautioned them to eschew corruption, live within their means and maintain a stable marital setup. “Any judicial officer whose marital fabrics were found wanting makes mockery of himself in the eyes of reasonable people. “The appointment of the Revenue Court Judges from Bomadi, Ughelli North and Ika South Local Government Areas is to reflect federal character in the State Judiciary. “Emulate the good quality of former Revenue Court Judges who had been elevated to the rank of High Court Judges by manifesting competence and intelligence. He warned that anyone found wanting either in private or public life shall be recommended to the Governor for removal through the Judicial Service Commission under his leadership. Citing section 4 (1 ) of the Revenue Court Law Cap. R7 Laws of Delta State, the Chief Judge disclosed that the Court has unlimited jurisdiction in matters pertaining to revenue of the State, including due to or accruing to the State from whatever source, revenue due or accruing to the local council in the State and any other incidental or relating to matters connected herewith. Mrs. Gesikeme-Akabofah Angonumere Mary, Mr. Champion Umukoro and Mr. Maxwell Efewongbe are the new appointees bringing the total number of Revenue Court Judges in the State to 21.
