NBA President, Paul Usoro SAN, Promises To Appear In Court To Answer To Charge From EFCC Despite Not Served With Court Processes

TheNigeriaLawyer learnt that Mr. Usoro had informed the EFCC earlier today, that he will attend court on Monday even though he is yet to be served with the charge. According to the information gathered by TNL, the decision to attend the Court on Monday was reached after high-powered meetings and consultations with very senior members of the Bar. The President believes it is in the interest of justice to have judicial pronouncements on these allegations. TheNigerialawyer (TNL) recalls that the EFCC had affirm dragging the NBA President to court over an alleged money laundering charge running into millions of naira. The EFCC had claimed, tracing some money belonging to the Akwa Ibom State Government to the account of the firm of the NBA President. Mr. Usoro in response had replied to the allegations, claiming that the money received are legal fees for various payments made with respect to matters handled for the government.]]>
