The comiittee’s Secretary, Mujtafa Aminu, disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Kano on Friday. . Aminu said the committee had in a letter dated Oct. 19, 2018 requested Ja’afar to appear before the committee on Thursday, Oct. 26 at the Assembly’s Complex. He said adequate security had been provided for the safety of the Journalist as he was expected to answer questions on the publication and the video clips released by his online newspaper. According to him, the committee had already visited the Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr Rabi’u Yusuf, and the state Director of DSS with a view to soliciting their support to provide security at the Complex, venue of the sitting.
