The Dignity of Legal Profession Going Down the Drain: A Call to Save our Soul I have just watched a video of how one of our young colleagues, Kunle Karimu, was subjected to a degrading treatment by policemen reportedly from Lion Building in Lagos. This is one police degrading treatment too many. And to think that this is becoming the norm, particularly with respect to the welfare and wellbeing of our young colleagues, is a clear indication that all is not well and we must save the soul of our once noble profession. Consequently, the time is now for us to wake up from our slumber and save the soul of the noble profession as the reputation of the Legal Profession is being completely and permanently damaged. While commending the Chairman and other officers of  Lagos Branch of the NBA where the embarrassing and inhuman incidence took place, I want to lend my voice to the call on the leadership of NBA to immediately and promptly proceed against the police officers involved in this distasteful act on the basis of the trending video. Our young colleagues are the future of this profession and like eggs, we must protect them jealously if we must prepare them for the task ahead.
