The incessant killings across the country with the most recent being that of Barkin Ladi, Jos Plateau State capital is received with rude shock. The immediate and remote causes of the killings must be investigated and the perpetrators must be made to face justice accordingly. It is saddening and disheartening seeing innocent citizens killed like animals. Properties were also destroyed. The perpetrators are heartless and ungodly. It is very unfortunate. In the light of the foregoing, I hereby call on the Commander In Chief of the Armed forces to give a marching order to Security Chiefs to find a lasting solution to these killings and bring these evil perpetrators and their sponsors to book. I urge politicians not to play politics with the innocent lives and properties of Nigerians. I also call for total overhauling of the Country’s Security apparatus with a view to be proactive in nipping in the bud future occurrence of this dastardly acts. The Killings and destructions of properties of our people can never be justified in any way or manner. This is highly condemnable. I also register my condolence with the Government and people of the affected States, particularly Plateau, Zamfara and Benue States.
