*Says World Is Incomplete Without The Women Folk.

Former Chairman Nigerian Bar Association Lokoja Branch, Liman Salihu, has said that the role of women in Nation building is enormous and very critical for the sustainable development of any given society.

He said this is the reason why the United Nations set aside this day to celebrate for their commendable role in lightening up our world.

Liman, made this remark on Tuesday while felicitating with women all over the world in commemoration of the 2022 International Women’s Day.

He said; “It is a day set aside to remind us that, the world is incomplete without the women folk.

“Annually, the 8th day of March is earmarked as International Women’s Day to celebrate the role and numerous contributions women made to sustain our world.

“The central aim of the United Nations for setting aside this day is to preach and teach the principles behind gender equality and promote gender inclusiveness in all facet of our lives.

“On this special day, I appreciate and congratulate FIDA and all other women organisations all over the world for ensuring that our homes and families are peaceful and habitable for husbands and children and for making sure that, the men get the needed supports to function effectively and contribute to societal growth and development.

“This year’s International Women’s Day, is with the theme “Gender Equality Today for a Sustainable Tomorrow” and reminds us of the need to ensure gender equality for a brighter tomorrow.

“Congratulations to the women folks and may God bless and sustain you all.

“Cheers!!!”
