The Electoral Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association, ECNBA, has unveiled a new website. The URL of the webpage is https://www.ecnba.ng/

The site is designed primarily as a source of information ans engagement with the public towards the NBA’s leadership elections later in 2022.

The site invites members who wish to receive updates or information from the ECNBA to provide their e-mail address in order to subscribe for ECNBA newsletters and other updates.

The site also has full social media integration, including with Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, among others. At the time of filing this report, the ECNBA was reported to be in the process of establishing its social media presence.

The President of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, Mr. Olumide Akpata, inaugurated the members of the ECNBA on Monday, 24 January, 2022 ahead of the 2022 elections

The Committee which is chaired by Ayo Akintunde SAN include; Mabel Ekeke, Secretary; human rights activist, Prof. Chidi Odinkalu; former NBA Treasurer, Aisha Ado-Abdulahi and leading ICT lawyer, Mr. Basil Udotai as members.

Akpata, while delivering his inaugural speech at the NBA Headquarters, Abuja, noted that if there’s any association that should conduct free and fair elections, it should be NBA because the Association stands as conscience of the society. The NBA’s 2022 elections will precede Nigeria’s presidential elections in 2023 by a mere six months.
