The governor who stated this while hosting the forum of former Bauchi State NBA chairmen, averred that for the judiciary to be accorded the respect it deserves, the leadership and members of the bar must set the pace by raising the bar up. He said it is incumbent on every government to accord the judicial arm the attention it deserves, assuring that government is committed to providing the judiciary with the enabling environment to function. The governor lamented the dilapidated state of infrastructure and office accommodation of courts in the state which have not been renovated for a very long time, maintaining that it is not ideal for courts to be operating from rented quarters. He announced approval for the renovation of the State Judicial Service Commission. He said on assuming office, the administration met an empty treasury and had to device ways of saving money by blocking loopholes to run government business.
