The plaintiff, Michael Itodo, alleged that the defendants insulted him and fought with his son, adding that they failed to comply with an earlier court order to pay their rent arrears. “My lord, the defendants are working, I don’t know why they had refused to pay me the rent arrears. “I just think that they are being wicked and are not straightforward. “Since their rent expired in February and November 2016 respectively, they had refused to renew their rent amounting to N36, 000,” he said. The plaintiff said that although the defendants were served with all the notices, they failed to comply. He prayed the court to evict the defendants from his property, insisting that he needed his money. The defendants, who did not deny the allegations, told the court to give them one month to look for alternative accommodation. The judge, Mr Victor Manga, ordered the defendants to vacate the apartment and look for an alternative accommodation before June 12. He also advised the defendants to look for money and pay their landlord.]]>
