CORPORATE NARRATIVE

Nigeria currently graduates circa Five thousand lawyers annually through the

Faculties of Law in universities as well as law schools in Yola, Bayelsa, Enugu, Kano, Lagos and Abuja. In Nigeria today, there are circa Twenty-Eight Thousand Lawyers who are between the ages of 21 and 39 years old. However, the legal educational system does not adequately equip the law students with tools to handle the reality of legal practice in the midst of the ongoing worldwide digital evolution. There is a gap! The manner in which a question is phrased often determines the sort of answers that we arrive at. So the question we decided to ask is, What’s the Pivot Point?

OUR STORY SO FAR…… Over the years, to answer that question, we have created THREE NOTABLE PRODUCTS designed to bridge this gap.

  1. YOUNG WIGS CONFERENCE: This is a community of young lawyers designed to bridge the skills gap between young, upwardly mobile Lawyers and the realities of the practice of Law while encouraging innovation and creative skills for effective use of technology in today’s legal sphere. Since its informal inception, the Young Wigs Conference has grown into a community whose annual highlight is the gathering of young Nigerian lawyers, learning, sharing knowledge and helping one another, thereby attracting thousands of young lawyers and Law students alike. This year, our first product, the Young Wigs Conference is celebrating its FIFTH YEAR of overwhelming success of consistent value, free of all charges to the attendees, great publicity and praise from the Fourth Estate of the Realm and has consistently attracted the crème de la crème of the legal profession on a national scale.

OBJECTIVE: Provide a platform that offers participants an opportunity to build invaluable connections and extensive networking opportunities with leading practitioners in the industry, as well as in the technology space thus enhancing up to date practical knowledge of the key industry developments.

UNIQUE SELLING POINTS:

  • At the Conference, we converge Three major premises: LAW-BUSINESSTECHNOLOGY. Technological Legal innovations, Alternative futuristic law-business methods and developing the adaptability of lawyers to this alternative business format.
  • Attendance to this conference has ALWAYS BEEN FREE for Five years thereby attracting circa 9,780 thousand lawyers physically and virtually. This has served as an attraction for Foundations and Corporate Social Responsibility inclined partners.
  • This Conference is designed to benefit Young Lawyers between 1-7 Years of Call as well as 4th and 5th Year Undergraduate law students and Students of the Nigerian Law School. This is the first ever Law Conference of its kind, that is focused on building the technical skills of this demography of future lawyers.
  1. MASTERCLASS PODS: This product is a Virtual/ physical classroom that tutors young, upwardly mobile lawyers who seek a deeper understanding of how their legal practice is influenced and influences the evolving world around them. It was developed by popular demand, as a follow up to the ONE Day Conference. Here, indepth methods and processes of futuristic business methods are taught by veteran facilitators who share their wealth of experience through physical teaching as well as virtual sessions to improve the adaptability/evolution of lawyers. OBJECTIVE: Bridge the theoretical knowledge of law and the practical realities of the legal profession by direct transfer of unique life skills with everyday examples thus reducing the possibility of certain professional mistakes.

UNIQUE SELLING POINTS:

  • Our core focus is on practical aspects of “WHAT LAW SCHOOL DOESN’T TEACH!”.
  • The Masterclasses converge on practical aspects of LAW-BUSINESS and TECHNOLOGY. Technological Legal innovations, Alternative futuristic law-business methods and Life skills aimed at developing the adaptability of lawyers to this alternative business format are taught.
