Renowned legal practitioner Yemi Akangbe, SAN, will be among the distinguished speakers at the upcoming 7th Justice Aderemi Annual Lecture scheduled for July 11, 2025, at the Aare Afe Babalola Bar Center in Ibadan.

The lecture, themed “The Politics of Federalism: Power Dynamics Among the Tiers of Government,” will feature expert insights on the complex relationships and distribution of power across Nigeria’s federal, state, and local governments.

Yemi Akangbe, SAN, known for his deep understanding of constitutional law and governance, is expected to deliver a compelling presentation examining the legal frameworks that govern federalism in Nigeria, and the challenges faced in balancing power among the various tiers of government.

The event is organized by the Justice Aderemi Annual Lecture Series (JAALS) and will be chaired by constitutional law expert Prof. Oyelowo Oyewo, SAN. Other notable speakers include NBA President Afam Osigwe, SAN, Ms. Yemi Adamolekun of Enough Is Enough Nigeria, Hon. Justice (Prof) Alero Akeredolu, and Aare Isiaka Olagunju, SAN.

Special guests at the lecture will include His Excellency Engr. Seyi Makinde, Executive Governor of Oyo State, and Justice Iyabo Yerima, Chief Judge of Oyo State, who is the special guest of honor.
