The Nigerian Bar Association Welfare Committee Chairman, Y.C. Maikyau, SAN, has congratulated the newly sworn Acting Chief Judge of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja and Khadis of the Sharia Court of Appeal.
The Learned Silk, in a goodwill message made available to TheNigeriaLawyer, urge the judges to double their efforts to live up to their office
He stated, “I have the honor and privilege of joining the Bar and the Bench to warmly congratulate His Lordship, Hon. Justice Husseini Baba-Yusuf on his appointment as Acting-Chief Judge of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja; and their Lordships, Salisu Garba, Bashir Danmaisule, Muhammad A. Sadis, Lawal Sule and Abdullahi Adam Al-Ilorin, as Khadis of the Sharia Court of Appeal of the FCT.
“The Judiciary continues to be the bastion of our values, liberty, and cohesion as a Nation and these appointments place even higher burdens on your Lordships to double the efforts to live up to your Lordships Oaths of Office.”
Maikyau also wished them good health, wisdom and courage to discharged their constitutional mandates
“I pray for divine wisdom, courage and good health to enable your Lordships faithfully discharge the Constitutional duties of your hallowed offices. Amen!” he prayed
