The Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (ICMC) has announced the first edition of its 2025 Mediator’s Connect Webinar Series, aimed at equipping dispute resolution practitioners with essential tools to enhance their practice.

Themed “Why Words Matter: Effective Communication Skills for Dispute Resolution Practitioners,” the webinar will delve into the critical role of language in the mediation process. It will highlight how the choice of words can either escalate conflicts or create opportunities for understanding and resolution.

The session will feature Mrs. Chinyere Onyemenam, FICMC, a CEDR-accredited mediator, as the guest speaker. Participants will gain insights into transformative communication strategies to foster productive dialogue and achieve successful outcomes in mediation.
