The Department of State Services (DSS) on Monday said it was not going to join issues over the reported arrest of the founder of RIG Nation and Pioneer Church, United Kingdom, Pastor Tomi Arayomi, and his wife, Tema, at the Murtala Muhammad International Airport last Friday.
Spokesman of the Service, Dr Peter Afunanya, in response to the development, hoped the couple will “be truthful” to say what really transpired.
He however did not give more information on the matter.
In a WhatsApp message to The Nation, Not TheNigeriaLawyer late on Monday over the issue, he said: “Have you read their press statement? We don’t join issues or play to the gallery. Kindly refer to their statement.
“If they wrote that they ‘…will not divulge the particulars of the investigation at this point…’, why should the DSS? So, let’s hope that at the fullness of time, they will be truthful enough to say all that actually transpired.
“Persuade them to speak more to you. Otherwise, no comments from the Service for now. Thank you, please. “
