Leshaan Dagama, the South African lifestyle influencer and adult content creator, has responded to former Edo governor Adams Oshiomhole’s denial of their “viral interaction,” countering his claim that the video was AI-generated.

The controversy began on Tuesday when a widely circulated video on social media showed a man resembling Oshiomhole engaging in a lighthearted conversation with a woman, massaging her feet as they rested on his lap.

The woman was initially misidentified as Lara Fortes, the wife of the senator representing Edo North District.

Reports indicate Dagama initially shared the clip on her TikTok account before deleting it shortly after.

The footage quickly ignited heated reactions online. Many Nigerians criticised what they perceived as a display of lavish comfort amid widespread economic hardship in the country.

Others seized the moment to mock Oshiomhole’s recent remark that some citizens were now complaining that “food prices are becoming too cheap.”

In response, Oseni Momodu, Oshiomhole’s media aide, released a statement dismissing the video as a “poorly crafted, AI-generated” fabrication that never took place.

The statement condemned several online platforms for sharing the “unverified content,” labeling its circulation as cyberbullying.

It also noted that steps were being taken to identify those behind the video’s production and distribution, urging the public to verify information before making allegations against public figures.

Hours later, however, Dagama challenged this narrative directly via her Instagram story.

Denying the AI-generation claim, she sarcastically remarked, “Video wasn’t AI, but okay, believe your senator,” accompanied by a smiling emoji suggesting indifference.

Earlier, Dagama had already addressed the growing backlash, redirecting public frustration toward Oshiomhole.

In a previous post, she wrote: “Your senator is the problem. Go be mad at him, not me.”
