*As Seun Kuti Reacts To Viral Video of Him Assaulting A Police Officer

Nigerian musician Oluseun Anikulapo Kuti, otherwise known as Seun Kuti has been caught on video pushing and slapping a police officer during a confrontation at Third Mainland Bridge.

Although it was unclear what started the altercation, the policeman maintained his composure when the singer addressed him.

The video stirred outrage among netizens who complained that the singer disrespected the uniform and had no right whatsoever to slap an officer of the law.

The afrobeat crooner directed a barrage of verbal criticisms towards the officer before proceeding to slap him.

Remarkably, despite the provocation, the police operative remained composed and refrained from retaliating, maintaining his professionalism throughout the confrontation.

According to reports, the altercation unfolded when the police officer pulled over Seun Kuti’s vehicle on an expressway in Lagos.

The circumstances surrounding the stop were unclear, but it became evident that the encounter did not sit well with the singer, prompting his outburst.

Meanwhile, Reacting via his Instastory on Saturday, Kuti said the officer attempted to kill him and his family members.

He said the policeman had apologized and he had forgiven him.

He warned those saying he was chasing clout to mind their business and not let the police officer lose his job.

Kuti wrote, “He tried to kill me and my family. I have the proof but I no dey chase clout. He has apologised and I have agreed not to press charges. Make una mind una business make the poor guy no lose him job.”

Meanwhile, in the video making the rounds on the internet, Seun Kuti could be seen lambasting the policeman after slapping him.
