The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Lagos Branch, has concluded its 2025 elections, with Uchenna Ogunedo Akingbade emerging as the new Chairman following a keenly contested poll held on June 30.

Announcing the official results, the Chairman of the NBA Lagos Branch Electoral Committee, Kelechi Obi, SAN, confirmed that Akingbade secured 552 votes, defeating his closest rivals, Nonso Azih, who polled 419 votes, and Abiye Tobiah Tam-George, who garnered 72 votes.

Other positions, including Vice Chairman, Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Social Secretary, Welfare Secretary, and Provost, were unopposed and thus not subjected to the ballot.
