The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Warri Branch, is set to hold the eighth edition of its Webinar Series titled, “A Fireside Chat with Chief T.J.O. Okpoko, OON, FCIArb., SAN – Successfully Navigating the Peculiarities of the Legal Profession.”

The session, which offers one free Continuing Professional Development (CPD) point, promises to deliver rare insights into the practice of law through the lens of a nonagenarian who has been an active legal practitioner for over 55 years.

Chief Okpoko, one of Nigeria’s most respected legal luminaries, will share his wealth of experience spanning courtroom advocacy, corporate law, bar politics, and professional regulation, as well as the challenges and triumphs that have shaped his career.

According to the organisers, the session is designed to equip lawyers across all areas of practice—litigation, corporate, commercial, in-house, and public service—with “ancient wisdom, nuanced knowledge, and the esoteric awareness” needed to thrive in the evolving legal landscape.

The event will be hosted by John Aruoture, Chairman of the NBA Warri Webinar Committee and past Secretary of the Branch.

It will hold virtually via Zoom on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at 3:00 PM (WAT), with the session opening at 2:45 PM.
