Six Bureau De Change (BDC) operators have been arrested by police in Lagos over alleged kidnap of their colleague’s eight-year-old child, Nation report.

The suspects, Nasir Mohammed, 29, Abdullai Usman, 30, Saidu Abbas, 32, Abubakar Saidu, 25, Limah Auwal, 23 and Mohammed Usman, 20, were arrested by operatives of Area D Command in Mushin, days after releasing the child.

Our correspondent gathered that they conspired and kidnapped the kid on November 4 and held at a house in Mushin for three days.

It was gathered that his kidnappers later released him in a sack with his hands and feet bound.

Fortunately, the boy was able to identify the house he was kept in and told his parents who stormed the place with other neighbours and apprehended two of the suspects, Limah and Abubakar.

Police spokesman Benjamin Hundeyin said they would be charged to court upon completion of investigation.

He said: “These six conspired and kidnapped the eight-year old child of a BDC operator.

“The child was released three days later bound hands and feet in a sack.

“Preliminary investigation reveals that all the suspects are fellow BDC operators in the same business district of Lagos.”
