The motion, according to Melaye, became necessary against the backdrop of the tragic incidents where trigger-happy policemen in separate occasions killed three innocent citizens in Lagos.
The lawmaker, who came under order 42, moved the motion of urgent public importance, urging the Senate to intervene in the mindless killings which is becoming the order of the day to curb the menace.
