In Nigeria, where an International flights is delayed beyond its scheduled time of departure, the airline operator shall provide assistance to its passengers as follows:
(i) where the delay is between two (2) and four (4) hours, the passenger shall be entitled to:
●2 Telephone Calls;
●SMS &
●E-mails;
(ii) where delay exceeds four hours, passenger shall be entitled to:
● refreshments such as water, soft drinks, confectioneries/snacks;
● a meal;
● hotel accommodation;
● transport between the airport and place of accommodation(hotel or other accommodation);
●2 Telephone Calls, SMS, E-mails.
(iii) when the expected time of departure is at least six (6) hours after the time of departure previously announced, the passenger shall be entitled to:
● refreshments such as water, soft drinks, confectioneries/ snacks;
● a meal;
● hotel accommodation;
● transport between the airport and place of accommodation (hotel or other accommodation);
●2 Telephone Calls, SMS, E-mails.
