Kwankwaso said they were forced to shift the event to Lugard House, a house owned by Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso, the founder and leader of the movement. He explained that the event was organised to honor some of the students sponsored by Kwankwaso-led government to study abroad under the 2011/2015 education programme. Also, commenting on the development, the factional Chairman of All Progressive Congress (APC) in the state, Alhaji Umar Haruna Doguwa, said the ban was constitutional and that they will not accept it any more. “There is a Supreme Court judgment which clarified the issue of seeking permission from police before embarking on any public meeting, so police had no right to stop us from exercising our right.
