*Announces 2025 Bar Part I Application Window, Sets Deadline For August 19

The Nigerian Law School has officially announced the commencement of its application process for the 2025 Bar Part I Course. According to a notice signed by Aderonke O. Osho, Secretary to the Council and Director of Administration, the application window opens on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, and will close on Friday, August 19, 2025.

The programme is scheduled to begin on Monday, September 2, 2025, and will take place at the Nigerian Law School Headquarters in Bwari, Abuja.

The Bar Part I Course is strictly open to Nigerian law graduates from Common Law countries whose degree programmes have been approved by the Council of Legal Education. The school emphasized that degrees obtained through part-time study, open university systems, long-distance learning, or online programmes are not recognised for admission to the Bar Part I Course.

Interested applicants are to visit the Nigerian Law School’s website at www.nigerianlawschool.edu.ng to complete the application form. The completed forms must be submitted via email to barpartone2025@nigerianlawschool.edu.ng on or before Friday, August 25, 2025.

In addition, applicants must ensure their academic transcripts and completed Forms B, B1, and B2 are sent directly from the official email address of their university and employer (if applicable) to reference@nigerianlawschool.edu.ng no later than Friday, September 1, 2025.

Applicants are required to include their full name and application number as the subject of all correspondence. The Council warned that late submissions will not be entertained, and all application documents must be received within the stipulated timeline.

Candidates are also advised to note and retain their application numbers, as it will be required to access their admission status in due course.
