The Olokunjuwon family, led by Olu Osore and Oladipupo, with their lawyers, Dapo Agbede and Morakinyo Ogele, were in court following a four-year land dispute. It was learnt Agbede and Ogele walked out after the judge read his ruling, which did not favour their client. The lawyers said Justice Kumuyi had no right to rule on a matter pending at the Appellate Court. Sources said the Appeal Court had fixed February 22 to hear the motion to compel Justice Kumuyi to give lawyers records of proceedings. The lawyers insisted that since an appeal had been filed; the lower court should allow the appellate court to decide the appeal. But the judge told the lawyers they were free to leave and vowed to go ahead with his ruling. In an attempt to leave with the lawyers, the chief judge allegedly ordered his security aides to arrest Osore. The policemen grabbed Osore’s trousers but Olokunjuwon family resisted the arrest. They vowed not to allow the police to arrest their brother, except the chief judge ordered the arrest of all. The drama lasted for 20 minutes, disrupting activities in the complex.]]>
