The conference, also known as GET2, is scheduled to hold from August 6 to 7, 2026, at the Lagos Business School, Pan-Atlantic University, Nigeria.
According to the announcement, the conference is organised by the Institute of Humanities, Pan-Atlantic University, in collaboration with Cavendish University, Kampala, Uganda.
Themed “Safeguarding Democracy in Africa: Electoral Integrity, Responsible Citizenship, and the Role of Technology,” the conference will bring together academics, policymakers, legal practitioners, technologists and other stakeholders to discuss innovative approaches to strengthening democratic institutions across the continent.
Obra Legal said Aloh will chair the session focused on how digital technology can be harnessed to deepen democratic governance in Africa.
The firm described the speaking engagement as a significant platform for conversations around governance, ethics, technology and the future of democracy on the continent.
The panel is expected to examine the role of technology in promoting electoral integrity, responsible citizenship, institutional accountability and democratic resilience in African societies.
