During the meeting, Ikechukwu Onuoma, SAN, emphasized the significance of taxes on corporate decision-making. He noted, “Taxes have a strong impact on the three main decisions — Investment, Financing, and Dividends — and therefore on creating shareholder value. Taxes should be a vital concern for managers, particularly in the Finance Department, as tax obligations can reduce the net present value and returns of any project.”
