In a major relief for legal professionals participating in the Lawyers in Business Mass-Housing and Land-Banking Scheme, the planned increment in plot prices has been officially postponed to June 30, 2025, following the timely intervention of Chief Emeka Obegolu SAN, Ph.D, and other senior legal practitioners.

Chief Obegolu, who serves as Chairman of the NBA National Remuneration Committee and the 2025 NBA Annual General Conference Planning Committee, is also the President of the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He is widely regarded as a leading advocate for improved earnings and welfare for Nigerian lawyers.

In a statement shared on Sunday, the management of the Lawyers in Business Initiative cited the upcoming Eid celebration and associated financial obligations, especially for Muslim colleagues, as part of the considerations for the postponement.

“Management has, therefore, approved a postponement of price increment till the end of June, 2025, in accordance with the pleas of our people,” the statement read.

  • A 15% discount remains in effect until June 30, 2025.
  • A 50% deposit secures a plot and locks in the current promo price, protecting participants from the post-June hike.
  • Installment payment options remain available (up to two years).
  • Inspection and allocation visits are scheduled for June 4, 7, and 8, 2025.

Current Promo Prices (Before June 30):

  • 600 sqm (Bluebell): ₦30.8 million (to become ₦36,277,500)
  • 450 sqm (Tulip): ₦26.9 million (to become ₦31,762,000)
  • 300 sqm (Lotus): ₦19.9 million (to become ₦24,517,500)

The scheme has already attracted numerous respected names in the legal profession, including Femi Falana SAN, Sir Babatunde Ogala SAN, Dr. Monday Ubani SAN, Lady Azuka Azinge, Prof. Yemi Oke SAN, Sir Folabi Kuti SAN, Sir Chuks Adiukwu SAN, among many others—both in Nigeria and in the diaspora.

A Certificate of Occupancy (C of O) for allottees is expected soon, with construction of the road linking the FCDA-allocated estate to Abuja city center already underway.
