The Ebonyi State Government has announced partial scholarships worth ₦300,000 for all state indigenes recently admitted into the various campuses of the Nigerian Law School for the 2023/2024 academic session.
According to a public announcement by the State’s Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Prof. Amari Omaka SAN, the education-focused administration of Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru has approved the grants to support eligible Ebonyi law graduates.
To access the funding, beneficiaries are to visit the Ministry of Tertiary Education at the Centenary City, Abakiliki with their certificate of nativity, LLB certificate/result, evidence of admission and posting to their law school campus as well as valid account details.
Prof. Omaka noted that the partial scholarships will be awarded on a first come, first served basis until allocated funds are exhausted.
The move aligns with the Nwifuru-led administration’s commitment to boosting education and human capital development in Ebonyi State.
Officials stated that supporting law graduates with the financial burden of law school will motivate academic excellence and increase the number of legal practitioners from the state.
