Guidelines for submission of articles ****IMPORTANT**** The University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus, LAWSA Journal Committee a subdivision of LAWSA Department of Justice calls for submission of legal articles. The following guidelines is to be followed to the later by all interested persons 1. Articles for submission must be previously unpublished and must be in English. 2. Papers must be well written and we encourage grace as well as clarity. 3. It is important that papers be copy-edited carefully before submitting. 4. Drafts are not acceptable. 5. In submitting articles, the author must attest to the fact that the work is original and that he/she is the author, and that the article has not been published, and that it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere. 6. If you have any question about whether your article is appropriate for LAWSA Journal, send it directly to the editor for a preliminary review. 7. All law students from first to final year are eligible to write and have their work published in this journal. Articles for publication may also be accepted from other Nigerian law faculties, as well as international law faculties. 8. Submission of articles starts from 1st March and ends on 1st April 2016. 9. Articles for submission shall not be more than or less than 15pages. SUBMISSION GUIDELINES 1. All articles must be well researched and must reveal the author’s in-depth knowledge of the topic. 2. All articles must have an abstract of not more than 200 words. 3. The LAWSA editorial board takes issues of copyright infringement, plagiarism or other breaches of best practise in publication very seriously. The board reserves the right to retract with issues of third party copyright infringement or plagiarism. 4. The content of all articles must be only in area of law, and in contemporary legal issues. The scope of the article must be on domestic law or extra-jurisdictional. However the bearing must be on Nigerian Law. 5. The length of article should not be more than 10,000 words including the abstract and footnotes. Any article exceeding the length wil be returned to the author. 6. All citation should be in footnotes and must be in the text. 7. Font type: New Times Romans. Font size: 12points for text, 11points for indented quotation and 10points for footnotes. 8. All articles must not have line breaks in the text or special spacing for formatting. Line spacing must be double. 9. Author(s) should alongside their articles also submit a personal brief personal detail about him or herself. 10.
