The Nigerian Law School has officially commenced pre-call activities for successful candidates in the November 2024 Bar Final Examinations ahead of the July 2025 Call to the Bar ceremonies.

In a public notice signed by the Management of the Nigerian Law School, the virtual screening exercise is scheduled to take place from Wednesday, June 4 to Wednesday, June 18, 2025, while the Call to the Bar ceremonies will be held from Tuesday, July 8 to Thursday, July 10, 2025.

The screening is mandatory and applies only to candidates who passed the November 2024 Bar Final Examinations. Candidates are required to submit scanned copies of specific documents via email to: november2024.clearance@nigerianlawschool.edu.ng. The required documents include:

  1. Evidence of payment for Call to Bar fee
  2. Evidence of payment for Alumni fee
  3. Bar Final Result printout
  4. Original LL.B certificate bearing the security seal
  5. Completed Alumni Form (downloadable from the Nigerian Law School website)
  6. Nigerian Law School ID card

For the ₦10,000 Alumni Fee, candidates are to make payment through the Remita portal at www.remita.net by selecting “Pay TSA/FGN,” choosing Council of Legal Education, and selecting 50th Anniversary under classification. Payment can be made using an ATM card or at any bank branch.

The Call to the Bar Fee of ₦40,000 should be paid to the following account:

  • Account Name: Body of Benchers Call To The Bar Fee
  • Account Number: 1015715697
  • Bank: Zenith Bank

Candidates will receive a confirmation email regarding their clearance status after successful submission and review of their documents.

The notice further states that all candidates must print their clearance slip and bring it along with their Nigerian Law School ID card to the venue of the Call to the Bar ceremony. The ceremony will commence at 10:00 a.m. daily, and all candidates are expected to be seated at least 30 minutes before the start of proceedings.

The Nigerian Law School urges all candidates to adhere strictly to the stated deadlines and requirements to ensure a seamless screening and Call to Bar process.
