The Eastern Bar Forum (EBF) of the Nigerian Bar Association has elected a new Executive Committee for the 2025–2027 tenure.

The election, which took place on Saturday, August 9, 2025, in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, produced Damien Nosike (Imo State) as Chairman and Sammy Etuk (Akwa Ibom State) as Secretary.

Other elected officers include:

  • Publicity Secretary – Dr. Peter Ayogu (Rivers State)
  • Assistant Secretary – Jovita Ibekwe (Enugu State)
  • Vice Chairman – Uduak Okon Essien (Cross River State)
  • Welfare Secretary – Chidozie Lawrence Ejiofor
  • Treasurer – Emmanuel Nnaemeka
  • Financial Secretary – High Chief Felix Suku (Bayelsa State)
  • Legal Adviser – Oko Ebe Uche (Abia State)

The election formed part of the EBF’s 2nd Quarterly Meeting for 2025, which is being hosted in Yenagoa from Friday, August 8 to Sunday, August 10, 2025.
