The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Warri Branch, in collaboration with its Human Rights Committee, is set to host a major Human Rights Summit on Wednesday, 28th May 2025. Themed “Balancing Justice and Human Rights: Challenges and the Way Forward,” the summit aims to address pressing issues surrounding justice delivery and the protection of fundamental human rights in Nigeria.

The event will take place at the RCCG Hall, off NPA Expressway, by Chevron Clinic, Edjeba, Warri South LGA, starting at 9:00 a.m.

Renowned human rights advocate and academic, Professor Chidi Anselm Odinkalu, is billed to deliver the keynote address. Prof. Odinkalu is a former Chairman of Nigeria’s National Human Rights Commission and a respected voice in global human rights discourse.

According to the Chairman of the Human Rights Committee, who is also the Vice Chairman of NBA Warri Branch, John-Larry Ojukoko, Esq, the summit seeks to bring stakeholders together to propose practical solutions to human rights violations and institutional challenges within the Nigerian justice system.
