The President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Mazi Afam Osigwe, SAN, has unveiled the composition of over 43 committees and fora aimed at advancing the legal profession, promoting the rule of law, and addressing critical issues affecting the justice system in Nigeria.
The announcement, made on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, marks a significant step in the NBA’s commitment to fostering professional excellence and addressing emerging challenges in the legal sector.
The committees cover a wide range of areas, including regulatory affairs, welfare, anti-corruption, rule of law, human rights, legislative advocacy, climate justice, and mental health, among others. Each committee is composed of seasoned legal practitioners, academics, and experts tasked with driving initiatives that align with the NBA’s strategic goals.

In his statement, Mazi Afam Osigwe, SAN, emphasized the importance of the committees in addressing critical issues and advancing the legal profession.
