The Nigerian Bar Association’s National Executive Committee (NBA-NEC) convened an emergency meeting at the AU Club’s Staff Club Conference Hall in Yola, Adamawa State, where they approved the budget and registration fees for the 2024 Annual General Conference (AGC).

During the meeting, Mrs. Badejor, the Chairman of the 2024 NBA AGC, announced that this year’s sports competition will be conducted on a regional basis, with only the finals taking place during the conference itself. She also highlighted the need to review the budget, considering the current 30% inflation rate, which could impact the quality of conference materials, particularly the conference bags.

Badejor presented the proposed conference rates to the NEC, urging them to consider the three schedules presented at the previous NEC meeting in Jos. The revised conference fees were approved as follows:

The 2024 NBA Annual General Conference, themed “Pressing Forward: A National Posture for Rebuilding Nigeria,” is scheduled to take place in Lagos from August 23 to 30, 2024. Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, the Director-General of the World Trade Organization (WTO), has been confirmed as the keynote speaker for the event.
