The Nigerian Bar Association Lawyers With Disabilities Forum (NBA-LWDF) has announced plans to hold its Inaugural Annual General Meeting, bringing together members and colleagues to review the Forum’s journey, strengthen its collective vision and chart a path for the future.

The meeting is scheduled to hold on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium, Elekahia, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

According to the Forum, the inaugural gathering is expected to provide an opportunity for members to reflect on its progress, deepen participation and consider measures aimed at strengthening the representation of lawyers with disabilities within the Nigerian Bar Association.

The NBA-LWDF described the meeting as more than a routine gathering, stressing its significance to the drive for inclusive representation and meaningful participation within the legal profession.

“This is more than a meeting. It is a defining moment for inclusive representation, meaningful participation, and a stronger NBA-LWDF,” the Forum stated.

The Forum consequently invited its members and colleagues to participate in the historic meeting as it reviews its journey and develops a collective direction for the years ahead.

“We look forward to welcoming you,” it added.

The notice was signed by Rex Erameh, Secretary of the NBA Lawyers With Disabilities Forum.

The NBA-LWDF’s inaugural AGM is expected to further provide a platform for members to strengthen engagement, participation and advocacy around issues affecting lawyers with disabilities within the profession.
