The elections of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Ikeja Branch, slated for Tuesday 29th September, 2020 has been suspended.

The suspension came after a meeting between the president of the Association, Olumide Akpata, the Branch Caretaker Committee, and some members of the Branch.

TheNigeriaLawyer(TNL) learnt that no date has been fixed yet for the elections

TNL recalls that the four Chairmanship contestants, Daniel Okoye, Esq, Amanda Asagba, Esq Akeem Aponmade Esq and Oluwaseyi Olawumi had approached the Lagos State High Court seeking for an interim injunction restraining the Caretaker Committee from holding the election

Recall also that Mr. Dave Ajetomobi had been appointed on Monday to replace Monday Ubani in the caretaker committee following a petition by the three chairmanship aspirants challenging the Constitution of the Caretaker Committee for not being properly constituted
