The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has announced that the application process for its relaunched Digital Stamp and Seal is now live, marking a significant step toward modernising legal practice and strengthening document authentication across the profession.

In a notice to members, the NBA said the Digital Seal is designed to enhance authenticity, curb impersonation, and provide a faster, safer, and more convenient system for verifying legal documents issued by lawyers.

To begin using the platform, lawyers are required to log in via the dedicated [https://digitalseal.nigerianbar.online/] portal using their Supreme Court Number and password, with default login details to be sent to members by email. After logging in, users can purchase digital seal packs through the dashboard and upload PDF documents for sealing.

The process allows lawyers to place seals on any part of a document, including multiple pages where necessary. Once applied, the sealed document can be downloaded immediately, and each seal carries a QR code for easy verification and authenticity checks.

The NBA also introduced a special incentive for young lawyers, who are entitled to one complimentary pack of 25 digital seals. Eligible members can claim the pack directly on the platform by selecting the “Complimentary Seal” option.

The association described the rollout as another milestone in its digital transformation drive, aimed at protecting the integrity of legal documents, preventing impersonation, and making compliance with professional requirements easier for practitioners.

Lawyers have been encouraged to log on to the portal, explore the new system, and begin using the NBA Digital Seal in their professional practice.
