The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has appointed Abdul Mohammed, SAN, as Chairman of the Annual General Conference Planning Committee (AGCPC) for its 68th Annual General Conference, scheduled for August 22-29, 2026, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The announcement, made via the NBA’s official X handle (@NigBarAssoc), also named Sammie Somiari, SAN, as Co-Chairman and Barbara Omosun as Secretary, with Emeka Obegolu, SAN, the 2025 AGCPC Chairman, serving as a consultant.

The NBA, led by President Mazi Afam Osigwe, SAN, confirmed that additional committee members will be announced later. This follows the successful 67th AGC in Enugu, themed “Stand Out, Stand Tall,” which drew over 20,000 delegates and addressed critical issues like legal reforms, insecurity, and gender inclusivity.

Abdul Mohammed, a distinguished Senior Advocate of Nigeria, brings extensive experience to the role, ensuring the 2026 conference upholds the NBA’s tradition of fostering dialogue on justice and professional excellence.
