The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has released detailed instructions for lawyers applying for their official stamp and seal. Dr. Mobolaji Ojibara, the General Secretary of the NBA, shared the process in a communication to members.

The application process involves several steps:

1. Lawyers must log in to their personal portal at https://portal.nigerianbar.org.ng.
2. From the dashboard, they should navigate to the “Payment” option.
3. Under payments, members should select the “Stamp & Seal” option.
4. Applicants need to specify the number of stamp packs they wish to order.
5. They must choose between “Public” or “Private” practice categories.
6. A crucial step is uploading proof of payment for branch dues.
7. After completing the payment for the stamp and seal, the application will be submitted for review.

The NBA emphasized that all applications will undergo a review process before final approval. If the branch dues receipt is incorrectly uploaded, the application will be rejected, and the applicant will be notified via email to re-upload the correct document.

Dr. Ojibara noted that upon successful application, members will receive a confirmation message and will be notified by their local branch when the stamp and seal are ready for collection.

For any inquiries, lawyers are advised to contact NBA Bar Services at barservices@nigerianbar.org.ng.

This streamlined process aims to make the stamp and seal application more efficient for NBA members across Nigeria.
