The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has announced that its next National Executive Council (NEC) meeting will hold on Thursday, 5th February 2026 in Maiduguri, Borno State. The venue will be communicated to members in due course. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 9:00 am prompt and will be conducted in a hybrid format, allowing members to participate virtually. A link for online attendance will be shared ahead of the meeting.

The General Secretary of the NBA, Dr. Mobolaji Ojibara, confirmed that the agenda for the meeting includes:

  1. NEC Prayer
  2. Review of Minutes from the last NEC Meeting (Thursday, 20th November 2025)
  3. Matters Arising from the Minutes
  4. President’s Speech
  5. National Secretariat Report
  6. Reports from Sections, Fora, and Committees
  7. State of the Nation
  8. Any Other Business

Attendance is restricted to National Officers, Past Presidents, Past General Secretaries, Branch Chairmen and Secretaries, Chairmen and Secretaries of Sections, Fora and Committees, Co-Opted NEC Members, and pre-registered observers.

Members are encouraged to bring devices such as laptops, tablets, or smartphones with previously downloaded meeting documents. Hard copies are also recommended for reference during deliberations.
