The Chief Judge of Lagos State, Justice Kazeem Olanrewaju Alogba, has directed the reallocation of courts and chambers to judges in the Lagos Judicial Division.

The directive, contained in a notice signed by the Hon. Administrative Judge, Lagos, Justice O.A. Ipaye, dated January 27, 2026, affects judges currently sitting at the TBS Complex and assigns new locations at the JIC Taylor Courthouse, Igbosere Lagos, and the Osborne Foreshore Complex.

According to the directive, all judges currently sitting in the Lagos Criminal Division at the TBS Complex are to move to courts and chambers in the JIC Taylor Courthouse, Igbosere Lagos.

The affected judges are Justice Y.A. Adesanya, Justice I.O. Harrison, Justice S.I. Sonaike, and Justice A.T. Muyideen.

Additionally, other judges in the Lagos Division currently sitting at the TBS Complex have also been directed to move to the JIC Taylor Courthouse, Igbosere Lagos.

They are Justice A.A. Oyebanji, Justice K.O. Dawodu, Justice O.O. Ogungbesan, Justice E.I. Alakija, and Justice O.O. Ogunjobi.

The directive stated that judges moving into the JIC Taylor Courthouse shall choose their courts and chambers in accordance with the Order of Precedence.

Three judges have been specifically assigned to courts and chambers at the Osborne Foreshore Complex:

Justice A.O. Opesanwo is assigned to the former court and chambers of Justice O.O. Pedro.

Justice A.A. George is assigned to the former court and chambers of Justice L.A. Okunnu.

Justice O.O. Ojuromi is assigned to the former court and chambers of Justice R.O. Olukolu.

The directive reminded all judges that only their personal effects and books are to be moved, while all judiciary-supplied equipment, furniture, and fittings are to be left behind in their former courts and chambers, as an inventory shall be taken by a designated officer.

“All Hon. Judges affected by this assignment are to liaise with the Office of the Chief Registrar to collect the allowance graciously provided to facilitate the movement into their new Courts/Chambers,” the notice stated.

The exercise is to commence on Friday, January 30, 2026, and is to be completed by Friday, February 6, 2026.
