This was consequent upon the suit filed by a group of principal officers of Kogi APC at the Federal High Court, Abuja to stay action on Senator Melaye recall process by his constituency. The Kogi central Senatorial district chairman of the APC,Hon Ahovi Salam Ibrahim declared that he was not part of the arrangement as published in a daily Newspaper. Addressing a press conference at the NUJ press centre in Lokoja yesterday, the zonal chairman described the publication as misleading stressing that he never discussed or met with any individual or group of persons in respect of the suit. “I am the zonal Chairman of APC in the Central Senatorial district and cannot go into taking part on issues concerning Dino Melaye from the Western Senatorial District” he affirmed. Ibrahim advised that members of the party in Kogi State should rather think of rallying round the governor to succeed instead of embarking on unnecessary legal tussle capable of tearing the party apart. “Reconciliation and consistent persuasion of aggrieved members of our party should be seen as the only realistic solutions to overcome our challenges and forge ahead towards the realization of our goal to move the state to the next level of development,” he said.]]>
