*Suspect Allegedly Disguised As Representing Nwaguatahihia Motors

The office of Attorney General Anambra state is set to arraign Nwachukwu Ebenezer Kelvin before Nnewi High Court for defrauding innocent Nigerians, Millions of Naira.
His offence is bordered on obtaining by false pretence; and fraud.
The offences contravened Section 1 (3) of the Advance Fee Fraud and Other Fraud Related Offences Act. 2006 and punishable under section 1(3) of the same Act.
In the charge No marked HN/3c/ 2023, Ebenezer is charged for defrauding different clients.
In the Particulars of Offences, charge No: HN/3c/ 2023, it was stated that between March 2021 and March 2022, Ebenezer Kelvin fraudulently obtained from John Leonard Opara, the sum of N5,600,000.
Kelvin also defrauded Dozie Innocent Ejiofor and Darlington Akwaiwu, the sums of N2,500,000 and N800,000, respectively.
His apprehension came after it was exposed that Nwachukwu Ebenezer Kelvin created a fake Facebook page using Nwaguatahihia Motors Limited to defraud innocent customers millions of Naira.
Nwaguatahihia Motors Limited, on Saturday issued a statement through its lawyer, Jideofor Okongwu noted that the Nwaguatahihia Motors Limited is a reputable car company with offices in Nnewi, Onitsha, and Lagos.
“The real owner of Nwaguatahihia Motors Limited, based in the United States, has suffered the consequences of these fraudulent activities carried out by criminal elements who conspired to deceive the public.”
He further noted that scam was uncovered after a suspect was arrested and charged in the Chief Magistrate Court in Nnewi, with the office of the Attorney General filing information against the suspect in the High Court in Nnewi.

Nwaguatahihia Motors Limited, condemning the fraudulent activities vowed to continue the fight against those using its name to scam innocent consumers.
The company urged anyone who has been a victim of these scammers to report the matter to the police and to take all necessary precautions before making any transactions online.
Customers are equally warned to be vigilant and to verify the authenticity of any page claiming to be Nwaguatahihia Motors Limited before making any transactions.
